Ennek \u00e9rdek\u00e9ben a Kisk\u0151r\u00f6s Kult\u00far\u00e1j\u00e1\u00e9rt Egyes\u00fclet az elm\u00falt \u00e9vekben t\u00f6bb, a telep\u00fcl\u00e9s t\u00f6rt\u00e9nelm\u00e9vel kapcsolatos k\u00f6nyvet adott ki, valamint l\u00e9trehozta a V\u00e1rost\u00f6rt\u00e9neti Digit\u00e1lis Arch\u00edvumot, (VDA), amely sz\u00e1mtalan digitaliz\u00e1lt r\u00e9gi fot\u00f3t, levelet, r\u00e9gen ki\u00e1ll\u00edtott hivatalos dokumentumokat tartalmaz Kisk\u0151r\u00f6s t\u00f6rt\u00e9net\u00e9b\u0151l. A XIII. sz\u00e1zad k\u00f6zep\u00e9t\u0151l eg\u00e9szen az 1990-es rendszerv\u00e1lt\u00e1sig gy\u0171ltek \u00f6ssze levelek, ki\u00e1ll\u00edtott dokumentumok \u00e9s r\u00e9gi fot\u00f3k. A V\u00e1rost\u00f6rt\u00e9neti Digit\u00e1lis Arch\u00edvum teljes anyaga eddig csak a kisk\u0151r\u00f6si Pet\u0151fi S\u00e1ndor V\u00e1rosi K\u00f6nyv\u00e1r szerver\u00e9n volt el\u00e9rhet\u0151, ennek k\u00f6vetkezt\u00e9ben a helyi lakoss\u00e1g, a di\u00e1kok, a Pet\u0151fi kutat\u00f3k vagy b\u00e1rmely m\u00e1s okb\u00f3l a v\u00e1ros t\u00f6rt\u00e9nelme ir\u00e1nt \u00e9rdekl\u0151d\u0151k hozz\u00e1f\u00e9r\u00e9se jelent\u0151sen korl\u00e1tozott volt.
